Subject: Threadhead Records Update/November 2009
We have much to report, so please read every last syllable of this newsletter. And thanks for helping to rebuild New Orleans, one song at a time!
Today, we are excited to announce two new projects: Betty Harris, known as "The Lost Soul Queen of New Orleans," and the Honey Island Swamp Band! Remember, the success of these two new projects is dependent on raising the money to support these wonderful musicians/artists....and you will get your $$ back! Hopefully, both of these projects will be funded, completed and released prior to April 2010. To contribute, and to find out more info on these projects, go to:

In the past month, THR has released two new CD's: Paul Sanchez' "Farewell to Storyville," a very personal and autobiographical set of songs by one of New Orleans' premier singer/songwriters; and "A Very Threadhead Holiday," a set of mostly new songs performed/written/sung by Threadhead Records artists which celebrates the holidays, New Orleans style. Initial reviews are wonderful (keep checking our news page at http://www.facebook.com/l/01d47;www.threadheadrecords.com/news.htm). To find out more about these two CD's and, more importantly, to purchase them (either as a CD or digital download), go to:

Do you like to download your music instead of purchasing CD's? You can buy all of our releases at iTunes, and also at our new exclusive digital download site at:

Also, the General Fund needs $$ to pay for website maintenance, legal and accounting fees, and other miscellaneous overhead costs. Any amount you’d like to contribute to this fund would be greatly appreciated, and would go a long way in helping us continue to help the musicians. Please see:

To date, we have raised over $150,000 from over 200 contributors from around the world. This has allowed us to complete 10 CD projects, a book, as well as many of the upcoming projects discussed above. Thanks to all of you that have either contributed and/or purchased CD’s made by THR artists!
Check out our new "How it Works" page on the THR website at: http://www.facebook.com/l/01d47;www.threadheadrecords.com/howitworks.htm
Did you know.....that THR has funded an exciting new DVD project? Check out "The Anthology: This is Absolutely Not Good" at http://www.facebook.com/l/01d47;www.threadheadrecords.com/pen...roductions.htm
Did you know....that we have formed a separate record company called Mystery Street Records? More on that, as well, after January 1.
And, finally, our sister organization, the Threadhead Records Foundation (THRF) is now a 501c3 non-profit. Look for some exciting announcements in the next couple of weeks, and the unveiling of our website after the first of the year!
